How often should an AC be serviced?
Home AC: twice a year — before summer (April-May) and before winter (October). Restaurants and hotels running non-stop: every 3 months. In dusty environments (Ouarzazate, desert): one extra annual visit is advised.
Can I clean the filters myself?
Yes — open the cover, pull out the filter, wash it in warm soapy water, dry and refit. Once every one or two months during the running season. But filters aren't the whole job: evaporator, condenser, gas check and drain still need a technician.
Does maintenance always mean adding refrigerant?
No — the refrigerant circuit is sealed and gas doesn't get consumed. If it's low, there's a leak that must be found and fixed (not just topped up). Technicians who quote a yearly recharge without a leak search are usually not trustworthy.
What's the difference between maintenance and repair?
Maintenance is preventive and scheduled (heading off failures). Repair is corrective (after a fault: no cooling, water leak, error code). Regular servicing cuts repair calls by around 70%.
Does maintenance keep the manufacturer warranty valid?
Yes — it's a requirement. Most manufacturers (Daikin, Gree, LG, Samsung) require a maintenance card signed by an approved technician to keep the warranty active in case of a major fault. Our visit is documented and preserves your warranty.
Do you offer an annual maintenance contract?
Yes — for individuals (2 visits/year) and for businesses and hotels (every 3 months with priority for emergencies). The contract includes written reports, visit reminders and discounted parts.
How long does a maintenance visit take?
One split: about an hour. Multi-split (3-4 units): 2 to 3 hours. Cassette or ducted: a full day. VRF under contract: half a day to two days depending on unit count.
What exactly does the sanitation include?
Application of an approved bactericidal and fungicidal spray to the evaporator and wet zone, killing mould, bacteria (Legionella) and viruses that cause smells and respiratory issues. Effect lasts several months.
